Lower Bounds on the Maximum Energy Benefit of Network Coding for Wireless Multiple Unicast

We consider energy savings offered by network coding for multiple unicast in wireless networks. For d-dimensional wireless networks it is shown that the maximum possible benefit is at least 2d/⌊ √ d⌋.
